Description
Vgl. die gleichnamigen Ölgemälde (Henze 1932/3, 4 und 6) und die Radierung “Die HUK” von 1932 (Rosenbach 9). Eine Huk bezeichnet im topographischen Sinn eine Ecke oder einen Vorsprung im Verlauf einer Küste oder eine ins Meer reichende Landzunge. Aus dem Vergleich mit den Ölgemälden, in deren vorbereitendem Zusammenhang das Aquarell entstanden ist, liegt es nahe, dass hier die Stülper Huk gemeint ist. Verso Porträt einer jungen Frau in Aquarell, gestrichen. Arbeitsbedingt etwas fleckig und mit minimalen Alterungsspuren. Mit einer kleinen Fehlstelle an der rechten oberen Ecke, sonst in sehr gutem Zustand.
Provenienz: Galerie Wilfried Utermann, Dortmund, rückseitig auf dem Schutzkarton mit einem Etikett.
