Die erste Ausgabe der “Teutschen Ornithologie” erschien 1800 – 1817 in 22 Lieferungen zu je 6 Tafeln. Das Werk gehört zu den Spitzenleistungen des Kupferstichs im frühen 19. Jahrhundert. – Bll. z.T. im Randbereich leicht stockfleckig, einzelne Bll. mit kleinen Randeinrissen. Einband berieben und bestoßen, am Falz oben etwas aufgeplatzt. Altersgemäß in sehr schöner und farbfrischer Erhaltung.
