With a certificate of authenticity by Prof. Dr. Paul Vogt, estate of Christian Rohlfs, who regards it as a characteristic work of the 1920s when Rohlfs concentrated on rendering flowers in strong colours.

Mit einer Echtheitsbestätigung von Prof. Dr. Paul Vogt für den Nachlass Christian Rohlfs. Das Werk ist unter der Nummer “Nachtr. Inv. CR 432/08” verzeichnet. Laut Prof. Vogt gehört das Blatt zu den typischen Werken der 20er Jahre, in denen sich der Künstler mehr und mehr auf die Darstellung von Blüten konzentrierte und mit kraftvoller Farbigkeit arbeitete. Wobei vor allem der Klang “großer” Farben wie hier Blau und Rot intensitätssteigernd verwendet wird.
Insgesamt in sehr guter Erhaltung und Farbfrische. Reißnagelspuren an den Blattecken. Verso an den seitlichen Rändern und am Oberrand mit Klebestreifenresten.
Provenienz: Privatbesitz, Süddeutschland.
