Description
Langers Nähe zu seinem Lehrer David wird aus dem friesenartigen Aufbau der Szene und der geometrischen Gruppierung der Personen deutlich. Die Komposition erinnert stark an Davids Schlüsselwerk “Der Schwur der Horatier”. Etwas verblasst und mit Gebrauchspuren. Verso in den Ecken Spuren alter Montage, sonst von schöner Erhaltung.
