Description
Temperamentvoll eingefangene Landschaftszeichnung von reizvoller Dynamik und Naturauffassung. Ende der 1830er Jahre hatte Frey seinen Wohnsitz nach Neapel verlagert, von wo er zu Reisen nach Sizilien und Spanien aufbrach. Vereinzelt etwas braunfleckig; mittig mit teils geglätteter Längs- bzw. Querfalte; am Ober- bzw. Unterrand zwei Farbfleckchen; die Ecken mit Knickspuren; sonst gut.
Provenienz: Aus dem Nachlass des italienischen Bildhauers Ettore Ferrari (1848-1929).
