Description
Minutiöse, bildmäßig ausgeführte Arbeit in besonders großem Format. Mittig im Vordergrund wird der Blick auf eine erhellte Lichtung gelenkt, auf der ein Hirtenpaar mit einem Kind spielt. Diese reizvolle Figurenstaffage wirkt durch die mächtigen Bäume und den massiven Felsen noch zarter und verletzlicher. Der offene, helle Hintergrund jedoch bietet eine visuelle – und auch geistige – Zuflucht. Mit leichter, vertikaler Oberflächenbereibung. Verso minimal fleckig. In sehr gutem Zustand.
Provenienz: Sammlung Johann Nepomuk Seiler, verso mit dem Stempel (nicht bei Lugt).
