Series of 4 sheets: Bavarian suite. Indian ink and watercolour with colour chalks on drawing papers, mounted on cardboard. 1960. C. 26 : 21.5 cm to 29 : 25.5 cm. Each signed and dated lower right. 3 drawings titled on the lower margin: “Entwurf zu ‘Sommertag'”, “Der Methusalem” and “Nach altem Meister”. Each inscribed in the lower middle of the cardboard “Bayrische Suite”, “I” – “IV”.
Description
Trotz allem revolutionären Engagement hat die Gruppe SPUR auch die bayrische und sogar die bayrisch-volkstümliche Komponente in ihre Arbeiten eingebracht, eine in dieser Kombination einzigartige Paarung. Ein Bl. mit unregelmäßig geschnittenem Unterrand, eines mit einer winzigen Fehlstelle an der linken unteren Blattecke.
