Girl’s head on a slim neck. Bronze with a golden brown to greenish patina. (1913/14). Height c. 39 cm. Signed and stamped with the barely legible foundry mark “C. Valsuani cire perdue” on the reverse.

Posthumer Guss nach 1950. Die Plastik zeigt Lehmbrucks neuen Stil, in dem er von einer naturgetreuen Darstellung abrückt und stattdessen die Naturform als Inspiration zur plastischen Form sieht. Sein Ziel war es dabei, “die Form plastisch zu bilden”. In sehr gutem Zustand.
