Graeff Gemälde 59-88 [125] (Nachlassnummer).
Werner Graeff war Student am Bauhaus und jüngstes Mitglied der Gruppe “De Stijl” um Theo van Doesburg.
Um 1959-61 wiederholte er einige seiner De Stijl-Bilder, die meisten in Öl auf einer Pressholztafel; Wiederholungen auf Leinwand — wie die vorliegende — kennzeichnete er mit dem Zusatz “L”. – In der blauen Fläche mit leichter Craquelébildung, sonst gut erhalten.
Provenienz: Galerie Stolz, Köln, verso mit dem Etikett; Privatbesitz, Süddeutschland.
