Description
Nach einem Gemälde von 1950. Erschienen in der Edition A. Crommelynck. Unten links mit dem Trockenstempel “Atelier La courière Paris” und der Adresse “Aldo Crommelynck Grav” in der Platte. Ab Mitte der 1950er Jahre widmet sich Picasso dem Thema ‘Stierkampf’. So entstanden zahlreiche Zeichnungen, die mehrfach in der Druckgraphik ihre Umsetzung finden. In diesem Bl. schildert Picasso den Beginn der Corrida: Der Stier tritt aus dem Tor, während der Torero und die Picadores auf ihre Aufgabe warten. Im Passepartoutausschnitt nachgedunkelt, am oberen linken Rand leicht stockfleckig. Verso mit Resten von alter Montage.
