Important Message to our customers

Dear customers, dear friends of Karl & Faber,

The events of the last week have been challenging for all of us. Each and every one of us has to cope with increasing restrictions to public life. Of course, our main concern is to guarantee the safety of our customers and employees.

For the time being, we have therefore decided to close our offices in Munich, Hamburg and Düsseldorf to the public while running them with a reduced team. We will continue to be available for you, our valued customers, by e-mail, mail and telephone. We will catalogue your works of art and estimate them for you by e-mail. In individual cases, you can meet a team member by appointment.

Our shipping department will remain available to arrange transportation or to send your purchased works of art for you.

Of course we cannot see into the future. We expect to be able to hold our spring auctions as planned, which are scheduled for mid May and the end of June. As always, you will have the opportunity to bid in writing, by telephone, online or live during the auction. Our high-resolution photos of the works in the catalogue as well as our careful and detailed condition reports should make a purchase easier, even if you cannot attend the auction in person. Last year, we thus inspired thousands of bidders in over 92 countries worldwide for our auctions and works of art.

In these difficult times, characterized by minimal social contacts, art can provide variety, be entertaining, sometimes even comforting and it can definitely serve as a distraction. Perhaps you would like to browse our current Online Only catalogues, from Old Masters to contemporary art. You can find the link to them here.

Karl & Faber has existed since 1923, we have been auctioning and selling art for more than 95 years and since then we have gone through several (world) crises. Together with you, our valued clients, we will also master this crisis. The art market has proved to be surprisingly stable, particularly in turbulent times. Do feel free to use this special time to draw on our expertise, our service and our outstanding commitment.

We look forward to the next meeting with you.
Stay healthy!

With best regards
